High voltage level - if the voltage is lower than 1.1 volts, many applications will shut down or show a signal that the battery is low. A traditional NiMH battery will constantly lose its voltage and get below this critical level very quickly. eneloop, on the other hand, will keep the voltage above 1.1 volts for a long time and only fall below this level just before it is empty. This is one of the reasons why more photos can be taken with eneloop than with a 2700 mAh battery.
